Hundreds of volunteers spent an enjoyable evening at the Guildhall (30 January 2019) at a reception given by the City of London Corporation.
The reception was held as a mark of appreciation for the work of the City’s volunteers and provided an opportunity to thank them for their time and dedication in supporting the work of its open spaces.
Speeches were given by the Chief Commoner and Lord Mayor Peter Estlin.
The City of London manages a large number of green spaces in London and south east England. Locally, these include Epping Forest, West Ham Park and the City of London Cemetery and Crematorium.
