The Wren Group Practical Work Team have recently shifted about 50 very large logs into position to line the paths in the Bluebell Wood.
The logs were ageing trees cut down by the City of London and some of them were so heavy they needed eight men with ropes to pull them along!
Next job is to fix into place on the logs 50 small roundels graphically illustrating the message ‘Do Not tread on the bluebells’.
Lastly three information boards will appear, explaining why the bluebells are special and why we need to protect them.
