Ahead of the nearly sold-out first night of Wanstead Park’s open-air theatre season this weekend, another new production has been added to the summer-long programme.

The season kicks off on Sunday July 4, with touring troupe Illyria offering their take on Much Ado About Nothing, one of Shakespeare’s most enduring romantic comedies. At time of writing, a handful of tickets were still available. Follow this link to book.

Booking is also open for a one-off performance on Wednesday 21 July of HMS Pinafore, Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operetta set on the high seas that offers a satire on the British class system. Get your tickets now at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/illyria

Now, to complete the summer season is Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, on 31 July and 1 August, offered as part of the East London Shakespeare Festival. For details and tickets, go to http://www.elsf.uk/whats-on/4595198383
